In case you’ve seen that little encircled B logo but don’t know what it means, B Corporations, or B Corps™, are businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This certification is a stamp of approval from B Lab™, a not-for-profit organisation that champions the use of business to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
Becoming a B Corp means we're held to a higher standard, measuring success not just in financial terms, but by our positive impact on society and the environment. We've joined a global movement, and are now one of over 750 businesses across Australia and New Zealand, and over 10,000 globally, all committed to balancing profit, people, and the planet. We’re thrilled to add our organic pads and tampons to that list.
How do you get certified?
The B Corp certification process is not a simple tick-box exercise. It's a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation of our entire business. We completed the B Impact Assessment™, which took us over a year. This Assessment requires us to:

Consider the impact of our decisions on all stakeholders: from our employees and customers to our communities and the environment.

Be transparent about our performance in five key areas: governance, workers, customers, communities, and the environment.

Achieve a minimum verified score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment measurement tool.

Provide substantiating evidence for all our claims, which are followed up with stringent reviews and interviews by B Lab.

Recertify every three years with a commitment to improve our score and meet new standards.
What score did Pixii get?
We're thrilled to share that for our first certification, we scored a massive 116.1 points! It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and while it will be a challenge to beat, we're ready to embrace it.
Why did Pixii want to certify as a B Corp?
At Pixii, our values are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that we have a responsibility as a business to be a force for good in the world. Becoming a B Corp was a way to formally demonstrate this commitment, through trusted third-party auditing and a globally recognisable certification.
